This is a unique take on the concept of time. The clock, or time if you will, rests in the palm of the hand. Time and all the complexities it invokes has become the fodder of many conversations. This piece with the inscribed poem by Mr. Van Dyke has great potential to kindle more than a few conversations.
I designed and hand-finished this piece using laser and 3D tools. The 'hand' is copper painted with a patina finish. The clock is based on a quartz timepiece powered by a single AA battery. The 750ml bottle of wine shown is to provide a sense of scale only.
This beautiful desk piece is 18" tall by 4" wide by 5" deep.
